Our Mission
Statement
CCU is committed to providing a quality and affordable
education that will teach students the perfect combination of
technical and life/business skills to enter the Cosmetology
industry, or related field, with the training and education
necessary for a long, rewarding career.
With a motivated staff that
is excited to learn new trends and techniques, our school is
able to give you the education that you desire. We will
teach you:
- to develop the professional
work habits and attitudes necessary to acquire and maintain
employment in the cosmetology field.
- the cosmetology skills and
knowledge needed to obtain a license and employment in a
salon or spa.
- how to recognize, analyze
and solve problems in typical hair, skin and nail services.
- to develop the
communication skills necessary to build and retain a client
base as required in the salon setting.
We take pride in the fact that we have
trained many area cosmetologists and salon owners, as well as
styling and cutting competition winners, for the last 70
years in Duluth and 40 years in Hibbing. Our educational programs
are constantly being updated through input from our instructors,
students, graduates, and area salon owners.

Our main campus is located in the
heart of downtown Duluth. Located central to many businesses,
restaurants, and the famous Canal Park, our school provides a
great place to learn. With almost constant walk-in
traffic, your education will flourish with the amount of
practice we can offer you. The convenience of being on
the busline is also a plus. The school offers 6,000 square feet of
space, which includes three levels. Recently remodeled, our Duluth
campus is taking a step in the right direction with stainless steel
stations, new flooring and reception area, and new spa room. With
our new bright interior, you will feel every bit the professional
cosmetologist, nail technician, or esthetician you are training to
be!
Our Hibbing campus is located in
the heart of the Iron Range, and is central to many
restaurants and conveniences. Nestled in the center of
many downtown businesses, this cozy school has a large salon
area with street level access, a theory classroom on the lower
level, and a recently remodeled practical classroom, also located
on the lower level. With 4,100 square feet, this school can
accommodate up to 45 students. This school is a smaller version of
the Duluth school, but offers the same quality education associated
with Cosmetology Careers Unlimited.
